Future Soccer Star!!!

This weekend we spent doing many start of summer activities: two pool days and a couple of BBQs. We celebrated Jeff's 30th birthday as well. Needless to say, it was very busy and full of a ton of events. Check out this video of my future soccer star. It made me a very proud DaDa!

Son-shine

I am overwhelmed with the joy this little boy brings to our life. I don't really remember what life was like before he was here, and he was ours. I don't miss sleeping in on Saturday mornings, because I'd rather be groggy & playing with him than get a few extra hours of sleep. Sean and I know how blessed we are, and we are thankful everyday that we get to be his parents, and help shape the person he'll become someday.

As for now, I already see a good listener with kind blue eyes, a boy with a big heart & a cautious curiosity, and an entertainer who likes to grab the attention of the faces in the room.

I always knew I would love my children someday...but I could never have imagined just how much

life. is. good.

1st Trip to the Salon...3rd Haircut

Little man made his first trip to Aunt Jazzy's new salon (Main Street Annex in Los Gatos). Mommy got her hair cut & highlighted, Daddy got a trim, and Lando got his 3rd haircut (before 8 months old)!

Here are a few pictures from my phone...good times. Thanks for keeping Team Greenwood lookin' good, Jazzy :)

Cinco de Maya

A few weeks ago, we headed down to the Central Coast with Dan & Carlene (aka Team Iverson) to help our dear friends Jeff & Steph (aka Team Lupo) celebrate the upcoming arrival of their baby girl, Maya! The baby shower took place on Cinco de Mayo...so, the party was appropriately themed "Cinco de Maya"!

On the day of the shower, Sean, Dan, Jeff, and David went golfing, while Landon and his ladies enjoyed an awesome fiesta at the Lupos' house in Buellton. This baby shower was right out of Pinterest! I loved all of the bright colors and perfect details! I threatened to hire Steph's co-workers Nicole & Tiffany for Landon's First birthday...and was only half-way kidding!

Does she look great, or what!?

Oh, and this is how Landon thanked Jeff & Steph for hosting us...he put his feet on the table during brunch on Sunday. Seriously, Lando? Mama & Dada are going to have to teach you some manners, Little Man!

I'm a Mom

Thank you, Landon, for being my son. For making me smile and laugh, bringing tears to my eyes, and filling my heart with joy. You are a ray of sunshine, and Mama is so very proud of you. If I could have hand-picked a baby, I wouldn't have chosen one nearly as awesome or adorable as you!

Thanks for making me a Mama, sweet boy. I love you.

Oh, and thanks for letting me crash your LRG Weekly photo shoot today. We'll let Daddy join you for your 37 week photo on Father's Day, too :)

A Tourist in My Own State: Catalina

A few weeks ago, I headed to Catalina to help my SCU girlfriends celebrate Lisa's Bachelorette! I was super stoked for a fun, relaxing, girls-only weekend...and to see a part of California that I've never seen!

Catalina did not disappoint: hikes & golf carts by day, dive bars & dancing by night...we took this sleepy little island by storm!

These girls and I go back, waaaay back. Most of us have known each other since Freshman Year at SCU, nearly 12 years ago! I would say we are lucky, but that would assume these friendships take no effort or deliberate action. It's actually quite the opposite: we are as close today because of sacrifice, effort, and lots of deliberate action. We choose to prioritize one another, and continue to be there for each other as we celebrate life (graduations, engagements, weddings, babies, and more)! Here's to 12 more years of making time for each other, and celebrating all of the awesomeness to come!

Take Your Child to Work Day

Today was "Take Your Child to Work Day" at Google. Landon finally got to meet Mila, Selin's daughter who is a few months older than him. It was really cute to see them play together...Mila went straight for Landon, wanting to give him a hug. What cuties!

It was strange to have my worlds collide today...desk, laptop, phone, to-do list + stroller, diaper bag, bottle, binky, and baby!

Landon & Water

We've been trying to get Landon to drink water out of a sippy cup for a few weeks. The filtered water that comes from our refrigerator is cold...he doesn't like cold water. We've tried room temperature with mixed results. Tonight, I warmed up his water just a little bit in the microwave, and ta-da...little man finally drank some water tonight with his dinner! I'm sure he'll get used to room temp or cool water soon enough, but for now, we'll keep practicing using the sippy with warm water!

Landon loves the water. He's enjoyed every time he's been in a pool & totally loves bath time. Tonight was his first time flying solo in his whale tub. When he was a little baby, we bathed him in this tub in our kitchen sink. Once he got to squirmy for that, we started taking baths with him (easier to wrangle him, get him clean, and let him play & splash). Tonight, I didn't feel like getting in the tub with him, so I brought the whale back out, and gave it a go. He loved it...you could tell he knew that this was something new, and that he's becoming a big boy.

And, here's a quick pic I took with my phone (obviously) of my squeaky-clean-happy-go-lucky little man. Thanks JT & Elena for the adorable hooded towel...he peed on it approximately 22 seconds after I took this picture. Haha.
