365 days ago today...

...I called Sean at 6pm and changed my dinner order from a Chiptole burrito to "soup, or something like it" because I'd just felt the first 2 of many contractions to come (the doctor told me that once labor started I shouldn't eat anything heavy, just a lot of liquid & soup-type stuff). I'll never forget Sean's response..."soup, you mean like SOUP, like, you can only have soup!? is it time!?"

Little did we know that we'd have to wait 37 hours from that phone call before finally getting to meet BabyG.  Landon took his time, wanting to make an on-time, due-date arrival.

New Beginnings

It's official! We closed on Cedarville last week, and closed on our new home on Nelson Way in San Jose today! Our realtor hand-delivered our new keys to us tonight with a special congrats & happy birthday cake for me. We can't wait to start ordering appliances and moving in!

We are set to move in Mid-October (as we are renting back from our buyers for 4 weeks)...thank goodness it gives us time to pack! We'll be settled in just in time to trick-or-treat in our new neighborhood with Landon. Life is so good...and we are so incredibly blessed.

September is Special for Us

Since we got married at Bianchi Winery in September of 2009, I made Sean promise that we'd go back every year in September to take a family photo. This year, we were lucky enough to not only show Landon the place where his Mama & Dada got married, but also have our picture (professionally) taken by our amazing wedding photographer & friend, Katie DiSimone.

California Cousins

 Last weekend Landon got to mix it up with his California Cousins, Dylan (5.5) and Julian (3.5). Dylan just started kindergarten this year (woah!), and is totally growing up so fast! Julian is the spitting image of his Dad, Garett, and a total ham (loves to be the center of attention & make everyone laugh)!

While there, I was lucky enough to get a special "haircut" by Dylan & Julian. They gave me a blanket for a smock, brushed my hair out, "cut" it, then "braided" it back together again. Adorable & Awesome...all at the same time!

Summer Swim Lessons

Every Wednesday this Summer, Landon attended swim "lessons" at the Almaden Valley Athletic Club in San Jose. They have a great swim school, for kids of all ages, and run classes pretty much non-stop, all year-round. We've known we have a water bug on our hands since Lil LRG's first bath, so getting him the pool early was a must! It was great to see him get more familiar & comfortable in the water each week. He can go under, float on his back, "kick kick kick" and splash splash splash! Sean and I also learned a few things about water safety and how to get in and out of the pool safely with little man. 

Next Summer, we'll have to get some of our friends with little ones Landon's age to join us, so we can have an excuse to get together & hang-out once a week :)
