This year marked Landon's second trip to AZ for Spring Training (his first trip in 2012 can be
seen here). Sean and I have both been more times than we can count, and are so happy to get to continue this annual tradition with our little man in tow. Sean got to go to 2 games, while Landon, Team Boes, and I joined in the fun for one game on Saturday (Rangers vs. Dodgers).
Landon, Sean, and I never sat in our seats, but instead wandered around the complex, ate some ice cream, rode the carousel, and tried to stay cool! The highlight of the game occurred while Landon and I were riding the carousel together: a foul ball flew our way, bounced off the roof of the carousel, and down near my feet...with a crowd of on-lookers, I snagged the ball with my free hand, while NOT letting my 30lb 18mo old son fall! I felt like SuperMom, Sean was obviously proud, and Landon kept smiling...chalking that day up as a win!
On Sunday, we headed to the Phoenix Zoo. Landon and Payton loved seeing all of the animals, brushing the goats in the petting zoo, and stopping on a park bench for snack time (of course). The highlight of the trip to the zoo was the splash pad! I guess they have these things all over Arizona (you have to find creative ways to keep cool in the desert). Landon LOVED it.
Thanks Team Iverson for organizing the annual outing, and thanks Team Boes for hosting us (and letting Landon play with Payton's toys)!
Til next year!
