Easter Fun on Nelson Way

On Saturday we hosted an Easter Egg Hunt & BBQ at our house. It was the largest party we've had at our house to date, and we luckily weren't bustin' at the seams! Even a little bit of rain didn't dampen the fun. Thanks to Sean and Mike (Jeannine's Dad) for barbecuing for the army of hungry guests, and thanks to everyone for coming, bringing food & drinks, and helping us have so much fun!

I learned something yesterday: it's hard to host a party, watch your toddler, and take photos at the rate I usually do. I had hoped to get family photos of all of our friends & their adorable children, but didn't...bummer! Next party, family photos are on me, everyone! Come dressed & ready!

Dual Sport Athlete

Landon likes to do lots of stuff: he likes to go for walks, he loves to eat, he likes to build towers, he loves to watch "eeeveee" (TV), and (thankfully) loves to sleep. Above all else, however, our little Landon loves to play sports. He shoots the "HOOP", kicks a soccer ball at the "GOAL", and is learning how to hit a "BALL" off of a tee. Sean and I are very proud, and honestly impressed with his coordination & timing. Here's a video I shot today of our little athlete, scoring "goal"s and shooting the "hoop"!

Spring Training 2013

This year marked Landon's second trip to AZ for Spring Training (his first trip in 2012 can be seen here). Sean and I have both been more times than we can count, and are so happy to get to continue this annual tradition with our little man in tow. Sean got to go to 2 games, while Landon, Team Boes, and I joined in the fun for one game on Saturday (Rangers vs. Dodgers).

Landon, Sean, and I never sat in our seats, but instead wandered around the complex, ate some ice cream, rode the carousel, and tried to stay cool! The highlight of the game occurred while Landon and I were riding the carousel together: a foul ball flew our way, bounced off the roof of the carousel, and down near my feet...with a crowd of on-lookers, I snagged the ball with my free hand, while NOT letting my 30lb 18mo old son fall! I felt like SuperMom, Sean was obviously proud, and Landon kept smiling...chalking that day up as a win!

On Sunday, we headed to the Phoenix Zoo. Landon and Payton loved seeing all of the animals, brushing the goats in the petting zoo, and stopping on a park bench for snack time (of course). The highlight of the trip to the zoo was the splash pad! I guess they have these things all over Arizona (you have to find creative ways to keep cool in the desert). Landon LOVED it.

Thanks Team Iverson for organizing the annual outing, and thanks Team Boes for hosting us (and letting Landon play with Payton's toys)!

Til next year!

Landon Captions

Our little man makes us laugh every day. He's a goof ball who is growing up right before our eyes. Here are a few phone photos from the last week or so that were too fun not to share!

While standing next to the open pantry door,
"I loooooove snacks!"
...because 3 soft blankies aren't enough,
life-size dog has made his way into the crib, too.
Life size dog keeps Landon's ears warm at night.
Breakin' out of school at 5pm, lunchbox in hand!
"Mama, start the car!"
Earning his keep at 17months...
let's hope I can say the same at 17yrs!
Landon diggin' in the sandbox at school today when
I arrived to pick him up. Now I understand why there is
a pound of sand in his shoes when I get him home.
Mystery solved.

Overjoyed

I just got back from a 24 hour trip to San Diego. There, I got to meet my best friend's baby, Makenna Rose. She is a tough, resilient, brave, and beautiful baby girl.

I wanted to do something for Dina, so I offered to document her first few days of life. I just finished editing the images & can't wait to share them with the new parents. Those pictures are for Dina & Mark to share...so, you'll have to wait to get a chance to see her sweet face.

Dina, I love you and am so very proud of you, Mama!
