Thanksgiving 2014

Thanksgiving 2014 felt a bit like Thanksgiving 2011 for us. We had a newborn baby boy and we hosted Sean's family at our house for Thanksgiving Dinner. It was great to be on our own turf, and to cook up a storm in our kitchen! The highlights & lowlights as I can remember them are:
  • Landon eating turkey because we called it "chicken"
  • Landon refusing to eat mashed potatoes (seriously? he may not be my son after all)
  • Sharing Cohen (nearly 12 weeks old), the newest, not so littlest member of our family
  • Eating dinner early so Sean and I could go to the 49ers-Seahawks game at Levi's Stadium! Big thanks to Grandma Donna, Pops, and Uncle Aaron for watching the boys for us!
  • The great bottle strike: Cohen decided the week of Thanksgiving to all of a sudden refuse the bottle! He had taken one bottle of breastmilk a day since he was a week old! It threw us for a loop, but we got through it with the help from Grandma Donna, and a bit of a "baba bootcamp" (2 or more bottles a day leading up to Thanksgiving). Thank goodness he got over it, or else I wouldn't have been able to go to the Niner game!
  • Hosting my extending family (who were also in town) and Sean's family for brunch on Friday. Over 20 of us enjoyed yummy food (not a Thanksgiving leftover in sight!) in the backyard, on a beautiful, warm & sunny morning
  • Realizing that if I thought it was hard to get a good family photo before, I was mistaken! Landon is in a "silly" stage, and Cohen doesn't yet know how to smile & look at a camera on cue (don't worry...he's my kid, he'll learn soon!). There will be many more candid, silly, laughing photos in our future, and a lot less posed, perfect shots. That, or I will finally master the art of Photoshop and start swapping heads!
  • Seeing Landon with Uncle Aaron, practicing on his skateboard
  • Decorating for Christmas -- one of my all-time favorite days of the year! I think a home looks its best when it is decorated for the holidays! (The day we take down the Christmas decorations must be my least favorite day of the year).

This will do! Our family on Thanksgiving Day.

Landon's Fall Soccer

We signed Landon up for "Kidz Love Soccer" again this Fall. It was his second season of "Daddy & Me" practice, and he really liked it! He's definitely ready for the next group, where he'll be on his own with a Coach! Keeping Sean and I "on the sidelines" will be a challenge, but I'm excited to see him advance, and keep improving his coordination & listening skills...toddler essentials!

The next 3 photos lead me to believe that he is ready for Flag Football!

It doesn't get much cuter than these 2 soccer cuties (with baby brother photo bombing in the stroller behind them)!

And, the annual "please go over & thank your coach for a great season" :)

Cohen's 2 Month Check-Up

Sean and I bet on how big Cohen would be at his 2 month check-up. The appointment took place just after he turned 10 weeks old, because we were on vacation in Florida for his 2 month birthday. I knew he would be at least 16lbs, while Sean thought he'd be just shy of that. Let's just say, the one of us who spends most of her day holding him was right! Our baby is huge, has rolls for days, and is just a ray of sunshine! Thank goodness he is also long!

Cohen's Two-Month Stats:
Height: 24.8in (95th Percentile)
Weight: 17.5lbs (96th Percentile)
Head Circumference: 42.5cm (99th Percentile)

Rah Rah & Joshy's Wedding in Florida

On November 14, 2014 the littlest (and youngest) Hartman sister got married! It was an absolutely beautiful, cool Fall day in Winter Park, Florida. Their venue, Casa Feliz, was an historic, Spanish-style home that was romantic, cozy, and classic. I am SO happy I wasn't too pregnant and that Cohen wasn't too young to make the trip -- I wouldn't have wanted to miss this!

Big props to Sarah and my mom, both should go into the event planning & decor business. There were so many incredible details, and thoughtful touches. I usually take TONS of pictures at weddings, but this time around my hands were full with Matron on Honor duties, and my two boys! Can't wait to see the images from her photographer...I know they are going to be incredible!

And with that, the Hartman sisters now all go by a different last name. Very exciting to see our family grow from "The Hartmans" to the "Hartmans, Chaumps, Greenwoods, and Scheids"!

Here are some photo highlights of our trip to Florida!

Payton & Landon (aka the Due Date Babies) born just 3 weeks apart! Can't believe how big they are getting!

Hailey & Cohen meet for the first time. These 2 are just about 2 months apart!

Cohen...already on adventures with his Papa!

Landon: future golf pro.

My mom's house always has a few extra baby items. This high chair let Cohen join his big bro at the table for the first time!

Big Cousin Merritt meets Cohen for the first time!

Rehearsal at Casa Feliz!

Rehearsal Dinner Fun!

The big day has arrived...and the girls kept busy in hair & make-up!

...and, here are the couple of photos I have from the actual wedding!
