We just got back from a whirlwind vacation to Boston & Maine! We arrived in Boston on Tuesday night, just in time to rent our car, check-in to our hotel, and crash for the night! Wednesday we met up with James & Lee (the Bride & Groom) for the 'Complimentary James Trettin Historic Boston Walking Tour Established in 2012'. They showed us so much of Boston...the Public Gardens, Boston Commons, Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere's gravestone, and the Mike's Pastry shop (famous for its delicious cannolis). Landon took his first trip on the subway, and seemed to enjoy the hustle-bustle of a big, busy city.
On Wednesday night, we met up with Dan & Carlene, JT & Elena, and got to see the Red Sox play at Fenway. What an experience! Sean joked that it took him 30 years to see his first game at Fenway, and Landon made it before his first birthday!
Thursday we took the subway across the river to check out Harvard! We toured around, bought some souvenirs, had lunch...then it was time to pack up the car, pick up Nicole & Matthew from the airport, and head up to Maine!
We rented a huge house in Maine, just a block from the beach. It housed us & all of Sean's friends, and was the perfect place to host the after-parties each night!
Friday night's rehearsal dinner was one to remember! It was held in a tent just steps away from the beach. For the first hour or two, we braved an intense thunderstorm, but it didn't at all dampen the mood & fun! We experienced our first ever authentic New England lobster bake -- and had a blast figuring out how to dismantle the lobster!
Saturday was the big day for James & Lee! I don't know if I have ever been to a wedding in a more picturesque spot! It was a beautiful day, and an awesome party. I served double-duty that day as wedding guest and reception photographer. I'm really excited to select & edit the best shots from their big day...but in the mean time, here's a sneak peak at the (unedited) fun we had!
